They're considering calling it a "terrorism" incident. Driver reportedly (by his parents) had bipolar disorder, but no official diagnosis.

@Doctor-Phibes said in What genius dreamed up this nonsense? Dry January!: I'm hardly ever ill, but frequently tipsy. I suspect these two things may be connected. Dry January? What a stupid idea. Having said that, I really do need to shed the Christmas weight-gain. Went for a big walk this morning, and then took two more with the dogs. Nice! My Christmas weight gain is really a "had a 3rd kid" weight gain. Realistically it's not possible to work out in the evening after kids are in bed, or in morning before they wake up, since the odds are there will be at least one kid up before 11pm and one before 6am, and usually a few wake-ups between. Anyway...... my point being, the only things I can control is to stop eating/boozing at night, which has been a very delicious, very relaxing, very rewarding bad habit over the last year. I'm 6 feet tall, but currently weigh 230. My all time heaviest was 232 back in 2006 before I took up running and went down to 175 over the course of 2 years. Would love to be around 180 again in two years but to start that... better sleep, less snacking/drinking, and working out when I can. A very stupid and long way of saying, I'm on Day 2 of no booze.

We've been on the verge forever. The breakthroughs, when they come, come slowly and painstakingly, as they should. But I wish the pace of discovery would hurry up.

That was 2 shaky teams. It made for a close game, it was watchable, but I think the coaches should prepared them better for the nerves. I'm glad Michigan won, mostly because of how Alabama was chosen for the playoffs.

Stevens was the most egregious example. DoJ withheld exculpatory evidence.

Even before looking at the comments, my first thought was "Is that Epstein's client list on fire there?"

It’s great as long as the technology is always available. I can imagine plenty of situations where it might not be.

there is no legal claim for weight discrimination https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7511432/#:~:text=Even though weight discrimination has,an anti-weight discrimination law. there is only one state in the U.S – Michigan – that has an anti-weight discrimination law.

If home ownership is to continue as the norm there needs to be affordable houses for starters. That would be a good place to target.

Reading between the lines... It's the typical problem when you have black elected officials running a black city. Favoritism, cronyism, graft and racism. Atlanta is the only big city I know of that avoids this. There may be others, but I'm unaware.

That seems like maga innuendo that people eventually ‘just know’ is true.
